My practice provides individual, family, and couples therapy to adult and young adult clients. My experience as a therapist spans a wide range of populations in multiple settings; clients of all racial, ethnic, cultural, religious, sexual, and economic backgrounds are welcome. I treat a variety of presenting issues including trauma, depression, anxiety, addictive disorders, substance abuse, life and role transitions, couples/marriage concerns, infidelity, effective parenting, and grief/loss.
My specialty areas include couples/marriage therapy, as well as individual treatment of addictive disorders and trauma. My work with couples is grounded in Gottman Method Couples Therapy (Level 2), with additional training in relationship trauma and infidelity. My approach to trauma/PTSD treatment utilizes TF-CPT and Narrative Therapy concepts.
Through a humanistic approach, we will gain a deeper understanding of our thoughts, feelings, behaviors, roles, and relationships. We will develop plans of care that emphasize healing, resilience, and thriving. In short, my hope is to empower you to set goals for treatment that promote wellness, both individually and in relationships you value.
We are all deserving of a 'Good Life'. I look forward to learning more about what that life looks like for you. Thank you in advance for trusting me with your care.
“In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer. And that makes me happy. For it says that no matter how hard the world pushes against me, within me, there’s something stronger – something better, pushing right back.”
